Here’s a window view into the crisis: an otherwise fantastic attempt to bring people to Christ–especially in the land of antiChristians (i.e., Utah)–but marred by the theological heresies of the liberals.
Over Chinese food and french fries at Ogden’s Old China Buffet last month, Hernández – who was Catholic up until two years ago and served as a Catholic missionary in Japan for 10 years – explained further. He called the Catholic Church “very dogmatic” and fired off a list of queries.
“Why the priest no get married? Why not be more open? Why we don’t accept the women to the priesthood? Why we not accept homosexuality?” he said. “I can be a good [Catholic] priest, but I had many questions about the church.”
